my wife and I tested positive for Covid this past Friday evening. When the doctor learned I was taking Orgovyx, she would not script me Paxlovid as it is counter indicated. Two days later my throat is so sore I can barely swallow! Anyone have any experience with this?

Orgovyx and Paxlovid
Surprised MD didnt tell you to stop Orgovyx, switch to another ADT eventually, and give Pax.
On another forum a guy's MO stated he could take a 10 day vacation from Orgovyx or he could take Paxlovid 6 hrs after he took his Orgovyx. It wasn't going to affect his outcome one way or another. I guess it would depend on ones current cancer prognosis. Mets no mets etc..
I had covid a few weeks ago and was/am on Orgovyx and Zytega and Flomax. I was told to stop Flomax during the Paxlovid course. No instructions wrt O and Z. I continued Orgovyx and Zytega during the Paxlovid period. Had no issues. Re started Flomax.
A very severe sore throat to the point of it being very hard to swallow can indicate COVID epiglottitis. This is a very dangerous condition and could lead to being intubated or getting a tracheotomy. Don’t wait, get it checked right away. I had this and was able to get it under control overnight by high dose dexamethasone ( for just a few days). And using nebulized treatments of bronchodilator and inhaled steroid (albuterol plus betamethasone)
You can probably just stop the Orgovyx and then start Paxlovid the next day . Best of luck.
I am on Xtandi (enzalutamide) and for same situation my primary doc saw that Paxlovid is contra-indicated and molnupiravir is allowed. Same purpose, same result, basically. Molnupiravir oral is not available at every pharmacy so I had to search for it. Walgreen was my answer.
Point is to reduce severity and avoid hospitalization if infected.
Certain meds interact with Paxlovid. My doctor wouldn't prescribe it for me either, he prescribed something else that was probably ineffective. But because I'd been vaccinated, my symptoms were mild.
Best of luck.
Interactions between your drugs
Major
ritonavir relugolix
Applies to: Paxlovid (nirmatrelvir / ritonavir) and Orgovyx (relugolix)
Ritonavir may significantly increase the blood levels of relugolix. This may increase the risk and/or severity of side effects such as hot flushes; weight gain; decreased sex drive; erectile function difficulties; muscle and joint pain; constipation; diarrhea; increases in glucose, triglyceride (fat), and liver enzyme levels; and decreased hemoglobin levels. It may also increase the risk of an irregular heart rhythm that may be serious and potentially life-threatening, although it is a relatively rare side effect. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. Your doctor may be able to prescribe alternatives that do not interact, or you may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring to safely use both medications. If you do have to take both medications, you should take relugolix first, then take ritonavir after at least 6 hours to minimize the effects of the interaction. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

When I had Covid, I used Ivermectin, and the other recommended things by the FLCCC. I also demanded an antibiotic that would work for bacterial pneumonia, I was sick for 2 weeks, but I lived. This was in the first wave.
