Hi fellow warriors

I have a question

I'm on orgovyx and abiraterone.

I order my orgovyx from abroad every month, this month I missed the scheduled time for making reservation and I'm few pills short until it arrives.

Is it terrible to stop for few days maybe a week?

I have 4 pills left, should I take them once in two days or maybe split them for half a pill?

Or maybe go back to the painful stuff for a month?

No one near me to borrow few pills.

What would you do?

I would get one degarelix injection and now you will have a safety stock! I would not miss doses. The effective half life is 25 hours.

I am cautious by nature, but regret is a bitter pill to swallow. Far better to know you remained therapeutic the entire time.

This is our plan if shipment is ever delayed.

Of course, my husband’s cancer is very aggressive, so that makes a difference in our decision too.

Unlike the standard Lupron/Firmagon injections Orgovyx wears off fairly quickly.It has been noted to be an advantage to take it if you plan on stopping at some point and want your Testosterone to return quickly.

leebeth's suggestion seems right on IMHO.

I guess I'm fortunate, because of a mix up, I had received an extra prescription sent to my home and since have been one month ahead on my prescription fills, so I open my old bottle when out while awaiting it's replacement.

Not sure how that could be accomplished through regular channels, but with a drug that has an effect upon cancer, not sure how it doesn't make sense to have that order a bit ahead of running out.

Take what is left every second day, testosterone should remain at the same castrate level. I was on Orgovyx for 2.5 months. Missed 4-5 doses or so after one month of continued taking , testosterone when got yo castrate level was bouncing between 3-10. I tested every 2 weeks. After I discontinued it it took 10 days to reach 50.

You should be fine every second day till resupply arrives
