Oncolytic viruses are promising! Prostate cancer is a solid tumor with an immune suppressing micro environment but still, also some of the tumores in this phase 1 study are hostile to the immune system
Phase 1 trial: Oncolytic Adenovirus T... - Advanced Prostate...
Phase 1 trial: Oncolytic Adenovirus TILT-123 in Advanced Solid Cancers, no prostate cancer but very interesting
Most all of us here are struggling day to day with practical issues to deal with our cancer. Why do you continue to post these detailed, one off studies that have no practical relevance to the majority of us? Delete, delete, delete
I’m struggling as well; it's tough being diagnosed as terminal at 50 when you never get even a cold and you are in perfect shape. However, oncolytic viruses are a promising area of research and are currently being tested for prostate cancer (e.g., Vaxinia by Imugene). I make sure to clearly state when I share results from clinical trials, in vivo/in vitro studies, or new techniques being tested on other cancers. All you have to do is to skip my post.
Thanks Maxone. I'm happy to read what you post. It gives me hope that something may come up that can treat this devil disease b4 it takes my life. Keep posting brother or send direct to me.
Maxone 73, please keep on posting, hope is what runs us and you are in search of that and that search is not an easy thing, you are doing a great service for us. continue.
Never stop posting. These posts are a ray of sunshine!

I look forward to your posts 😊
I read everyone of your posts.
Crossing fingers for good alternatives to my current treatments that work. 7 years 7 months and still kicking. Very little pain, and fighting the fatigue as best I can.
Do any of these drug trials come back with a positive YES it worked ? Any ? Genuine question
Since every single treatment, even the ones that extend our life or those for genetic mutations (olaparib comes to my mind, and it was originally for ovarian cancer) passed through a phase 1 trial, the answer is obviously YES!
Do they all work? I wish, but of course they don't. Plus if we are talking about a cure, the one and only method to guarantee a durable cure at the moment would be DNA/RNA based, like CRISPR methods, which are working greatly with sickle cell disease (1 treatment session, 100% efficacy in 100% of patients after more than one year). Do oncolytic viruses work? Yes, not yet in prostate cancer but for other cancers there have been complete remissions still present after more than 24 months from the treatment. I am waiting for ESMO 2024 also to know more about these other trials, even if not prostate cancer targeted.
