After 6 years on androgen deprivation treatment, my red and white blood cells, hemoglobin, etc are all lower than the minimum guideline. I know it wouldn’t be covered by insurance but could stem cells help?
can stem cell replacement help with l... - Advanced Prostate...
can stem cell replacement help with low red and white blood cell counts?

I doubt it. The cancer also affects the bone marrow.

You should NEVER CONSULT A MEMBER FOR MEDICAL ADVICE .
They have never met you, nor do they know the details of your medical history and current medications you may be on .
Read my post to the moderator and her reply .
Definitely not. Consult your physician about this. there are injections that stimulate white cell production as well as red cell production. Ask if this would be appropriate in your case.
I echo the comment about seeking medical advice from non physicians
Your bio has no case arc details. Age, stage at Dx, etc.
Just a question guys. I wasn’t ready to jump on a plane and head to Panama! I have a knowledgeable oncologist and radiologist. I am still castrate sensitive on SOC but I am always open to new ideas.
I have gotten copious amounts of good advice on this site over the last 6 years. I expect to obtain more during the next 6 years! Peace out! 😎

I was interested in a similar issue as my GP has just contacted me about low scores after a recent blood test. I found ' Maintaining Health during ADT ' by the Prostate Cancer Foundation online of relevance with a section (p15) on anemia.
I would like to check back with any good info on this subject. My CBC and whites have all lowered the “ normal threshold “ since starting ADT then recently restarting. I would like to know any thing that can boost production. Some of the journals state that testosterone is also in part, responsible for pressure and production of reds in the marrow. The pressure I never quite understood. I am taking an OTC of iron that is mixed with Vitamin C name vitron C . Seems to help. Standing by for some better input from the forum.
