Hello everyone. My dad is starting chemo in the next few weeks. Does anyone have any tips on helping mitigate side effects, etc.?
Any thoughts, stories, experiences would be helpful. Thank you!

It’s a common question, and here is a really good thread on it:
I had 9 rounds of Jevtana…. No hair loss…No Nausia..The usual low energy after about round 6…..One hour in the chair every 3 weeks……
Everyone's different but your doctors should have good information to supply you with. I got a big binder before starting Chemo describing everything and explaining everything and it even had a section of taking care of yourself and what to do to alleviate symptoms while undergoing Chemo. If you have good doctors and feel you can trust them, then ask them questions about your situation. And always be honest with them. Doctors say one of their biggest obstacles to proper treatments and successes is that often, patients lie to them. Just like on House M.D. TV drama. House always expected his patients were lying to him and most often it was true...lol. Just a little humor for you.
