second cycle of docetaxel and the same reaction. Pelvic pain, flushing, muzzy head and head ache. Great response from the team again and feeling better pretty quickly. Last time they tried again and it went through okay. Had meds to mitigate but not prevented a reaction. They aren’t go to try the infusion again. Looks as if the oncologist will review it.
Has anyone had a similar experience and wonder what the alternative chemo agent would be. My first line treatment was Enzalutamide for 3.5 years.
Feeling a bit fed up but probably because I’m back to not knowing what happens next.
many thanks

Thank you. I’ve started on CBD & THC oil. It’s meant I have been able to come off pain relief. Didn’t help with my reaction to Docetaxel but from what I’m reading, the medium that of the active drug contains agents that could cause hypersensitivity in some. Glad it’s not taxanes generally so hoping the oncologist can offer an alternative and quickly because I’m feeling a bit exposed.
