I always wory about whether the injection suspension has been warmed up prior to mixing and then mixed thoroughly. Sometimes the nurses inject so swiftly and do not get a "ball".
Eligard injections: I always wory about... - Advanced Prostate...
Eligard injections
Ouch! I would ask to have it warmed to room temp and have a slow (1 minute) injection. Ask the nurse to come back if he/she is in a hurry.
I received Eligard only once and demanded to only administer Lupron to me. Much easier of an injection.
Here's my solution: at our cancer center, the same nurse shoots me every 3 months. She likes scotch, the drinking kind. Every 3 months I bring her a split of single malt from a sample pack. She's so happy to see me she's got everything warm and ready. We're all human, and respond appropriately.
You should watch them do it and ask them to shake it up more or whatever. I have never had an issue.
Geezamacripe..........Nurses there should know what hot means..... after all they eat Thai food, don't they?
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
