my PSA rose from .04 in Jan to now .21 so it’s moving up. I assume this is still too low for a scan to determine where pc is at. I was undetected for 2 years after radiation of pelvic area.
new PSA : my PSA rose from .04 in Jan... - Advanced Prostate...
new PSA
Profile?
I had imaging at 0.13 and five suspicious pelvic mets were identified. ePLND confirmed cancer at my para-aortic. I now image at 0.03 - yes well ahead of current thinking here in US; but I do get it approved and Medicare paid. Hope this helps. All the best!
But can .13 really let you know what it is? suspicious is just that. not for sure.
Apologies for my comment being unclear. The findings by the imaging, Ferrotran nanoparticle MRI, were confirmed by biopsy pathology following ePLND (extended pelvic lymph node dissection surgery). It has long been my understanding that biopsy pathology is considered unequivocal, whereas imaging conclusions are limited to 'suspicious' or similar terms. In other words, imaging findings are not unequivocal. After RP it is my experience that usPSA 0.13 is unequivocally cancer; a much lower value that long established biochemical recurrence guideline.
