Finding The Best Doctors - Castle Connolly

I had previously spent many hours researching specialists to try to find the best of the best, cross-referencing them in PubMed author, etc. I had never run across this website until accidentally today and I was astonished how many names I recognized from previous research and how selective the list is. Apparently this distinction is achieved by recommendations from other doctors combined with detailed research. It's not like the other rating sites that are primarily patient rating focused. Granted I didn't see a few names that I know to be experts in the field, so obviously this isn't an exhaustive list, but nonetheless this is a really good starting point for anyone looking for a top tier specialist. I think you can't go wrong picking anyone listed on here.

That's an excellent guide. I've always liked that website. Never saw that page. Being on here the past couple of years one thing that surprised me was that I could tell by a lot of people's posts, they probably could find a much better Urologist or Oncologist than they were currently working with.

Thanks. I’m glad you like my website. Patients often think some doctor they see on YouTube is the best they can get.

I found our Urology Oncologist on Castle and Connelly. I also read every review and looked at him on Pub Med. We are early on but so far happy. My husband starts chemo next week. Triplet therapy. Our doc asked where we found him and was surprised when I mentioned it.

This is my husband’s second time (06) with cancer and I called our old medical oncologist that can’t practice in our state and out of network. I faxed him our records and because I was concerned that his past cancer was a concern. He called us on Friday night at 9 PM and talked to us for about 15 minutes. He said he would be treating him the same way. He also said the PET CT would have picked up a reoccurrence of the other (06) cancer. He said we have a good doctor. I used to work with this doctor in a work capacity and we trust him. This made us feel better about our decision. What a kind human being for doing this.
