There was a burger joint that offered an A1 burger. My sister in law ordered an Al burger. Didn't he play for the Yankees?

Wow. Since this is your field: is the AI software both making up the drugs and algorithmically testing for activity?

Well I was researching AI application to music but I have also some general knowledge. The key factors I think are speed and ability to detect patterns that would be impossible to detect by a human because of the huge number of features that need to be taken into account at the same time. Basically they can browse a huge amount of data to predict (probabilistically) interactions between different molecules and the target disease and even predict which kind of populations will have better results. Of course it is probabilistic, as it would be with a human researcher trying to do the same thing. But I have heard some chief researcher say: this AI in 3 hours can do the same amount of calculations and simulations that would require 10 researcher and a couple of years. I am waiting for quantum computers to lower it to 3 minutes. But that is not the real bottle neck I am afraid.

I'm guessing that AI is a sauce you put on steaks (if you really want to screw up the taste).....
