It was a nice study, but hardly a "breakthrough." Here it is, btw:

jamanetwork.com/journals/ja...

Biparametric (T2 & DWI) MRI was proposed years ago as an alternative to mpMRI (T2, DWI, & DCE). Results have been previously published from Denmark, China, Austria, Korea, and others.

I think the shorter access time is a real advantage for the patient. As with mpMRIs, the real hindrance is availability of adequately trained radiologists.

Another game changing development. More treatment for those additional men diagnosed. I've heard that very large percentages of men over 60 have PCa. This will open up the possibilities of getting treated for those large numbers currently going untreated.

I prefer 14 javelins rammed up my a** and peeing blood.

in reply tomonte1111

Would 15 javelins be the number where you preferred a different treatment?

Javelins in the a$$..that definitely originated in California.

It has to be an even number. (I was expecting 12.) I believe it was originally an Olympic sport, so let's see, yep: brought to you by the Greeks. Have the Greeks ever won an Olympic event?

in reply tomonte1111

There is a funny response but I'll let j-o-h-n respond first...he's the Emperor of Greek jokes.

I thought j-o-h-n was the King of Staten Island. Or was it Manhattan? Long Island? One of those islands? I've had a drink named after all of the islands. Are they all just a bunch of drunks? No wonder you can't understand them when they talk. Or when they type. J-o-h-n probably has a wooden dog that barks when the mailman delivers.

in reply tomonte1111

j-o-h-n is not a fan of water so he lives in the Hills....I won't say which one because in addition to being Greek...He's paravoid or is it paranoid..those Greeks confuse me.

in reply tomonte1111

To be honest, I thought this article was about the first person to pass the Dental Licensing Boards in Britain.

J-o-h-n is a paranoid cellar dweller? If you find a wooden horse in your front yard, don't take it into your house! If you get a gift in the mail, don't open it! Above all, do not go to the dentist!

Beware, The Greek army marches to the tune of "Look over your shoulder we're walking behind"

Very nice. Wish I hadn't used those Frank Sinatra records as frisbees. Probably worth a fortune now. Who knew? I have a Greek Army spear .... dropped once.

j-o-h-n in reply tomonte1111

Greeks use dishes for frisbees. Those weren't spears they dropped it was their dishes....OPA!!!

Spears, dishes, drawers. The Greeks are known for dropping a lot of things.

Yes MRI is a valuabe part of diagnosis. THe question is when to use it and many hospitals are using it up front usually after PSA 'screening' to assess extend of PC
