Need recommendation for oncologist

Hi to everyone in this amazing board,

This is my first post here, and I hope to get some help from you guys.

I need recommendations for the medical oncologist specializing in prostate cancer treatment in the Chicago area. If you have such recommendation please indicate if it is based on your own experience, or it was suggested by someone else. Also please explain why this doctor is recommended if possible.

Maha Hussain at Northwestern if she’s still taking patients. Because if there is a groundbreaking trial, she’s probably worked on it.

I'm using an Emory MO specializing in GU cancers. Is there somewhere else I should ask 2nd opinion?

Agree Hussain. If not, Szmulewitz at U. of Chicago or Shevrin at NorthShore Evanston/Glencoe. Both are experienced principal investigators on clinical trials. Shevrin is medical director at Kellogg Cancer Center at NorthShore and, IMO, a great person.

Thank you cigafred, I am familiar with the Kellog Center. My MO is Dr. Pfanzelter currently. But I am looking for a second opinion re. my next treatment.
