So ferroptosis could be the "paradox" behind BAT mechanism?

Ferroptosis = is a recently discovered essential type of cell death that is mainly characterized by iron overload and lipid peroxidation. Emerging evidence suggests that ferroptosis is a double-edged sword in human cancer. Jul 24, 2023

Chances are no. It could be one of the many therapeutic mechanisms.

I think that the odds now favor DNA double strand breaks and also AR deregulation/de-mutation.

The DNA DSB aspect doesn't seem to be debated. It appears that now the question is how to optimally exploit this. Thus we see trials with radiation therapies, chemo, etoposide, and olaparib.

I've been using a pulse of olaparib with BAT for the last year. I'm about to add SBRT.

Not really a paradox. Huggins termed it hormonal interference. We have known about this for decades but we are good at forgetting.
