It comes from both since they both reduce your body's testosterone production. I have done heavy resistance exercises for 45 years. My bodyfat is 16% but my visceral fat is low (in the words of the dexafit tech: "you have nothing"). I actually have something: 0.4-0.5 lbs. The average 19-25 yo has 0.75 lbs. The average 60+ yo has 3 lbs.

I don't do any traditional cardio. Only resistance training and sometimes functional training (light weights/high reps/short rests).

Please post routine with pics! I like your results. Like my former urologist used to say “ You de man!”

Thanks!

A generic workout. I do variations on this but this one is a very good one for me.

Mon strength: back biceps and short triceps wo

tues off

wed volume: legs (split up hams and quads)

thurs off

fri strength: shoulders (traps and delts)

sat off

sun mix of strength/volume: chest tric

Mon volume: lats bic and short tric wo

tues off

wed strength: legs (split up hams and quads)

thurs off

fri volume: shoulders (traps and delts)

sat off

sun off

repeat.

5 minute rests between all heavy sets

4 minute rests between all volume sets

tempo: 1 sec up, 1-3 sec down for strength, 4-5 sec down for volume

between sets: rest/visualize next set/prep for next set/massage joints/opposite bodypart stretches (mostly rest and visualization)

A good simple functional strength training book that I like:

I'm going to look at them. I do have tons already, I can teach PT so so many hours. My third handle is the Bionic Man, but I shure don't have your credentials. Thank you PCaWarrior!

Forgot to post the reps.

Strength: 5-7 reps per set. (for you I'd suggest 8-12 reps)

Volume: 12-20 reps per set. (for you I'd suggest 15-22 reps)

Your doctor recommendations would override mine. They know you and should have a plan for what will work in your case. Main thing is though that resistance training is very important; particularly if we have cancer and particularly if we age. Most reliable conventional sources claim that exercise is the most important thing patients can do. Depending on the study, cancer mortality decreases 20%-70% with a vigorous exercise program.

I am shifting from 8 pound weights to bands. seems more tension on muscles and I have S curve scoliosis been told not to lift more than 20 pounds. If I get approval may be able to post the exercise regimen, we are requested to do per a study.

More exercise, less food. Many variations, but in the end as simple as this.

Yes, the only problem is I may be confused as to diagnosis. I wear 30/40 tights to keep swelling down in legs, but instead of overhang fat, it might be fluid accumulation. I’ve heard there is a way to keep records of your weights morning and evening.

Possibly, even likely edema. Exercise along with your tights will help.

Again, to keep it as simple as possible, no need to guess about 'overhanging fat'. Measure your waist. Anything over 40 inches is definitely too much.

Yes they intimate no cardiologist or member of my treatment staff has figured it out. The best suggestion I got was from a recently hired palliative care Dr (former GP) who said take your Lasix at 6am , prop your legs up and pee! My legs just swell and swell and gets absolutely worse with walking or vigorous activity. The rare variant man is just that, nothing seems to follow accepted protocols.

I’d definitely agree with thay. Get off your tush.! I try to walk 10,000 steps per day. But u have to watch wearing out your knees, I like swimming but it build little strength in my opinion.

Well I just learned about it myself! It’s a pain running (walking ) down the straightaway like chariots of fire with a jelly belly under your shirt and under armor tights

I have diabetes 2 my GP told me I need to lose four stone, with a broken skull, irreparable brain damage, there was definitely a small ironic grin between us, how the hell am I going to lose four stone, I can barely walk, still lost about ten pounds, I'm just above 15 stone?🙄🤭 a bit of "visceral" fat to go yet?

TuffNuttoCrack profile image
TuffNuttoCrack in reply to Adlon57

That’s quite an accomplishment.

Good for you on the weight loss; the AI is kicking in right now! Keep up the good work Adlon!!!!! Actually the AI is seeking commonalities amongst us men to see if we can speed up the cure especially on the visceral fat👍😀!

you rascal! Good humeror. . Is that patented?

This morning I went to a nearby hospital office complex set the timer and walked flat out for two minutes for short of the GOAL as this walk is an all out sprint. Nothing left my friend too much belly sag. Which hopefully be remedied by applying the Warrior’ Man’s routine. The desire has been strong but my conviction weak. 10 days till my last six minute walk race test to beat the 50 year old athlete. Ok it’s on to 2 a days now to rebuild the stamina!

And remember John “old chemist never die they just continue to react! And in Germany we just continue to fahrt.

John. Adlon.Warrior etal, making you laugh and u making me laugh actually produces a chemical reaction in the brain that helps us fight. Without that I think I don’t know about you would have given up the fight long time ago. I tell you two stories. About two months after getting home from a real bad December I go to MO, waiting waiting waiting in MOs office so I take the roll of paper towel off wall and start curling it. MO and APN walks in see me curling and I do the Schwarzenegger pose.telling them I’m bulking up per the request.

The second after I lose half my kidneys due to crushed ureter GP walks in and starts pressing all over my belly, Relax, Relax, I say I am, those are my ABs!
