Hi, I am looking for a Glaucoma discussion board like the one we have here for PCa. I searched Health Unlocked and found one for the UK but not very active.

Please share if you are aware of one that is more active and preferably for the US. I did find one on Reddit and two on FB (private - need permission to join.)

thanks,

MP

Hi,

I have glaucoma and know of no such community. However there was an interesting article in a recent edition of Life Extension Magazine discussing studies of something called Mirtogenol which LE has put into a product called Eye Pressure Support that has shown to be able to lower glaucoma after continued use.

thank you for your reply, I just googled Mirtogenol and found one study on NIH with 38 subjects. The eye pressure dropped from 25 to about 22. I am currently using prescription eye drops and got my pressure to drop from 19 to about 12-13.

I was looking for a support group to learn more. The Glaucoma research foundation has a few studies using stem cells, while promising, it would take at least 10 to 20 years more (if successful) to be available to human.
