I had my first PSMA (Pylarify F-18)Scan Mayo Jax, could someone explain two sentence to me about Impression by Dr reading scans.

No tracer activity suspicious for active Prostate Cancer.

However urinary bladder base was obscured by physiologic urinary activity.

PSA at time of scan 0.118

The radio active isotope they injected you with didn’t get “ uptaken” by cancer…your bladder was working “ physiological activity @

Dean? Is it really you lol ?

You had me bummed out. I thought you were gone soon after you offered up your leftover Zytiga to us here. Thought you raised the white flag and flew the coop.

Thankful your still amongst us.

Sounds pretty good to me. Wasn't aware Mayo Jax had a Pylarify.

They did not detect metastases but they can not say anything about the bladder and the bladder neck because the PSMA ligand is eliminated by the urine. A common problem with pylarify an with the PSMA 11 ligands.

Congratulations! Pylarify is excreted by the kidneys, through the bladder and out the urethra, so they light up benignly.

That is the reason I prefer F-18 PSMA 1007 radio-ligand. It won't mask such a point of high interest.

Is it available in the USA?

I have a question I was told I couldn't even get in trial 4 years ago unless PSA 0.2 I I got in trial but. nothing found In trial till October 2019 Undetectable till October then started doubling Had another PSMA with Ga68 PSA 0.857. Does Pylarify F-18) uptake at lower PSA. My MO says PSA should be between 0.5-1.0 for PSMA to be most useful. Maybe TA knows more about this question.

Not what you're looking for?
