Is Daily Cialis helpful?

I am prescribed 20mg 1 hour prior, but after reviewing some of the threads here, maybe it would be helpful more often?

Helpful for what? Post-prostatectomy? (if so, how long ago?) During radiation?

My apologies, I should have been more specific with my history. Yes, I am asking for myself and others in my position, I am post-prostatectomy almost 4 years now and I think the information would almost benefit those post-prostatectomy looking at the possibility of radiation/ADT. Thanks!

Daily ED meds can protect from radiation injury to the vasculature supplying the penis. I haven't seen any studies for salvage radiation, but it seems to help for primary radiation, and I'd assume the benefit is similar. It won't reverse existing ED caused by nerve damage from the prostatectomy, but may protect existing erectile function from radiation.

"Daily ED meds can protect from radiation injury to the vasculature supplying the penis." How do they do this? Any clinical trial that supports this conclusion? My URO only stated that daily low dose tadalafil was for post surgical penile rehab -- never stated that it would be of benefit during my adjuvant RT.

The nitric oxide released by ED meds supports endothelial health.

Thanks for the reply . . . neither my URO nor RO discussed this with me before RT, but it will be good to bring it up in the monthly support group that I attend, since one of the new members is having RT as primary treatment.

I started daily viagra (20 mg) with the first treatment and continued for about 9 months. No ED. I also exercised heavily, which is also important for keeping blood flowing and healthy tissues healthy.

Doctors say 5MG/day of Cialis is the normal treatment to keep the blood flowing.

Daily doses: 5 mg Cialis = 20 mg Viagra = 5 mg Levitra. Take whichever agrees with you best

TA..I have been taking 5mg. cialis every day since finishing radiation 3 months ago..In addition have been taking Flomax for nocturia so have no libido...My question is since no desire -no sex -is the cialis still keeping the erection window open and when finished w flomax ..ready to go..ty as always.

ED meds helps keep the blood vessels that feed the penis in good shape. Why should Flomax affect libido?

I take 5mg per d, more if things are looking promising for the night. I am sp Robotic prostatectomy, 2014. Anecdotally it does seem to even increase blood flow and size even when not erect.

Use Mark Cubans on line pharmacy, it’s incredibly cheap, also I read where daily cialis reduced cv events. Good luck

I think the 20mg Cialis needs to be taken more than one hour in advance.

Agreed.... I think it varies with a person's age and physical condition. I'm 67 years old and I have found Cialis works best for me when I take it four hours ahead of time. I think taking Ed medications too close to the time of sex is one of the biggest mistakes men make

I've been taking 10mg Cialis daily for 2 years and, for me, it works out better than having one just before sex (because I'm never quite sure when that would be). I have had no side-effects. I take the generic Tadalafil which works out much cheaper.
