Is anyone here on Dexamethasone? Which is better Dexamethasone or Prednisone?

One isn't better or worse. They are used for different purposes and in different doses. For psoriasis, follow your rheumatologist's directions.
I switched from 5 mg prednisone to 0.5 mg dexamethasone about a month or so ago. On abiraterone & PSA was rising. First blood test showed PSA rise leveling off. Will have new labs in about 10 days. No real difference is how I feel or SE.
I initially was put on Lupron with Zytiga and 5 mg Prednisone. After 18 months the PSA started going up. I switched to Dexi but it made no difference with me. Some men respond and can achieve additional time of low PSA.
Switched to dex about 2 years ago , main problem I have found is it makes your skin thinner and even the slightest catch , say on a door handle will take off the top surface of my skin. And being on anticoagulants the wound bleeds for some considerable time and consequently my arms are covered in "bruising" where the blood has leaked under the skin.
Is the literature which has been discussed in this forum regarding switching from pred to dex when psa rises while on abiraterone. But not much I know of that directly addresses your question. This link touches on it but is a little dated.

In general Dexamethasone is a stronger and longer acting glucocorticoid.
I find I do better on dexamethasone. Following my chemo treatment I remain on 8 mg for three days and then drop back to 2 mg daily.
Someone recently commented that switching to Cabazitaxel and carboplatin, might be easier on neuropathy, then continuing with docetaxel and carboplatin. Are there others in this outstanding group that have tried this. My oncologist said he would look into it.
Thank you for any information.
