I had my second Pluvicto infusion and FDG scans that’s week. The M O indicated that they need to have a CT scan and current CBC for data points to make a decision on the efficacy of treatment. I will be getting them in the following three weeks. Meanwhile, my tastebuds have been affected and pain in my upper jaw. my PSA has been holding steady between 85 and 96 over the last 12 weeks during infusion however not decreasing. Period. I am also receiving 2 pints of blood, at least once a month to keep my hemoglobin counts up. Any discussion or advice would be appreciated, I have many Mets in my bones and lymph nodes.

pluvicto and PSA
If the cause of your anemia is cancer in the bone marrow, I would be very cautious about going forward with Pluvicto. The radiation could do even more damage and further hinder the ability of your marrow to produce red blood cells.
An MRI can detect marrow involvement. Have you had one, or your docs suggested it? At no point during my Pluvicto treatment or after it, as I became severely anemic, did any of my docs suggest MRI. I think it was just assumed that the marrow was compromised by PC or radiation or both.
But some intense lower back pain prompted a recent MRI of the lumbar region, and that confirmed PC in the marrow. So even without getting an MRI, I think you should address the bone marrow issue with your docs and ask them if Pluvicto has the potential to make your anemia worse (which could hinder further treatments).
