Just for reading - CAR T-cell therapy
Here is a report of CAR-T cell therapy for prostate cancer. Unfortunately it helps for a very short time only.

I think a sustained response is possible? Even though circulating T-cells diminish after 28 days. Maybe the "28 days" is why you replied with "helps for a short time"?
I have seen more thorough discussions from Tanya Dorf and the link you supplied doesn't seem to do justice to her findings and the trials with car-t.
She presented this at the ASCO 2022 conference a few weeks ago. She commented the third image in the link I provided:
"And you see, on the swimmer's plot, that this was ongoing at eight months. Some of the other patients, however, who have these green and yellow bubbles, the PSA responses, then progress to black bubbles, PSA progression, in a shorter term. So we still have work to do to optimize persistence. "
And she concluded:
"And we see, in our correlative science, that there is not adequate persistence. So we're working on additional strategies to improve this so that we can help patients achieve more durable remissions. "
I think at that same conference, Dorff also presented evidence that they saw some very durable remissions and that they are starting to understand why. They’re also working on dose levels (the trial my husband is in right now) to determine if that’s related to remission time. But the last trials that Dorff and Slovin did had year-long remissions after complete responses both radiograohically and PSA-wise.
Please get off the sofa and dance to some Latin music.........Caramba....
Good Luck, Good Health and Good humor.
