Is PLUVICTO available in CANADA and site location
Thank you
I think it is only available in clinical trials in Canada, so far.
Hello,
Pluvicto has been approved in Canada by Health Canada which gives approval to all new drugs. However health care is a provincial responsibility and most provinces have yet to fund it through medical plans. This means it could be massively expensive for individuals. Check the province you live in for coverage.
Hello,
Two options. As Tall Allen mentioned check into clinical trials. I have been accepted into the SPLASH trial in Canada although I have yet to find out what arm they are going to put me in. I will find that out in November. If on the Pluvicto arm, I receive four treatments at no cost. That certainly beats the approximately $500,000.00 that I would pay by having the four infusions done privately.
The second option is to get it done overseas. Many, many countries offer Lutetium worldwide. Germany has been doing it for years @ $8,000 - $12,000 per treatment. They are also not afraid to pull the trigger on Actinium-225. South Africa, Australia, India, Turkey and others will do it even cheaper. Perhaps time for a medical holiday? Good luck!
Its available in Montreal but not yet funded in
Our MO at London Health Sciences is involved in the SPLASH trial so it’s available here if you’re accepted. Incidentally, pluvicto is produced in Ontario. You can find info about the trial at clinical trials.gov
