Has anybody done Intravenous Glutathione 1g) in the group (along with IV Vit C)?
How did you all react to it and what is your opinion on intravenous Glutathione?
It seems to be a double edged sword based on my research.

Do you have a deficiency? Be careful; glutathione can reduce ROS which are needed for apoptosis and immune-killing of cancer cells. IV Vitamin C was tested and found to be useless for PCa.

"IV Vitamin C was found to be useless for Pca."
Inaccurate.
This 2011 study showed that for 30 patients with MCRPC, 60g weekly (far below what is purportedly required) of IV Vitamin C made no difference.
The articles final conclusion
"A large-scale controlled trial is needed to determine whether high-dose IV AA displays any therapeutic relevance."
No one will do a large scale study, because a small scale study failed to detect any effect. If you understand Bayesian inference, that sets the sample size bar much higher and lowers the probability that an effect will be detected. As a practical matter, when Phase II studies fail to detect any effect, Phase III studies are not undertaken.
A trial of iv ascorbic acid with docetaxel was ended early for futility:
Hey T_A!
An article below posted by the NIH in 2020, five years after the study you referenced so it is more current.
Copy all between the lines--

Intravenous High-Dose Vitamin C in Cancer Therapy - NCI
cancer.gov/.../2020/yun-can...
______________________________________________________________________________________________
An excerpt:
"For example, a phase I clinical study revealed that ascorbate concentrations could safely reach 25-30 mM with intravenous infusion of 100 g of vitamin C. In this study, plasma concentrations around 10 mM were sustained for at least 4 hours which, based on preclinical studies, is sufficient to kill cancer cells. "
The knowledge of the value of IV C infusion is changing.

For some reason the link doesn’t work.
Again, copy everything between the lines and then place it in your search bar.
For whatever reason, whenever I include a link, copying just the font that HU places in the blue hue doesn't work. Go figure.
I just copied all between the lines, placed it in my search bar and immediately accessed the article by the NIH.
Yes, it is annoying not only to you but to me as well. I think you will like the article.
My best to you.

Allen, glutathione is questionable, but I don't believe Vit C. infusions are useless. If something doesn't get rid of Cancer it still may have another purpose. I have mentioned exactly what we have found with the infusions in this past year. If you ask your Doctors, they will all give you the same answer," Can't hurt but won't help either, don't waste your money."... Our experience has been positive. We make sure it is just vitamin C alone, no other vitamins added, this is important to remember. Not telling you all to go out and get an infusion but personally, it has helped Jim stay well while he goes through stage IV cancer.
I can only comment on the science, which gives no support. Your personal beliefs are your own.
Glutiathone should only be used twice initially during the low dose phase otherwise it counter acts Vit C efficacy.
T_A,
Did you not look at the very significant difference in the time span over which the infusions were given and the amounts of AA? That is indeed important and changes the effectiveness. Perhaps the study you posted was flawed because they limited the amount of AA and time span over which it was infused. Perhaps they are on the right track. How much will the pharma industry profit from the sale of AA? Please remember that I worked in pharmaceutical manufacturing for 14 years.
Dates are not important?
In 1968 all cars had contact points and a condenser in the ignition distributor. Five years later, in 1973 all cars had electronic ignition and the points and condensers were past technology.

Count me out. Even without including the science that dismisses it the scammy looking places that advertise it as anti-aging, anti-cancer promise, with a face lift thrown in at half price totally turn me off.
Hey smurtaw,
From your reply-
"In my opinion, cancer.gov is a much more reliable source of information.
cancer.gov/research/key-ini..."
You posted the same link I did.
Who is the "bro-sci expert"? I hope you weren't referring to me as we agree on the NIH posting and it's merits. I don't think the NIH or National Cancer Institute deal in "bro science" or post such.
My best to you,

Hey smurtaw!
Exactly! Also, studies that test large amounts of a "whatever" by itself fail to take into account synergy.
Now in one link mentioned today 60 grams of IV C were infused in one hour. That was the max infusion administered. The vitamin C molecule is so close to the sugar molecule that the amount of C circulating in one's blood registers on diabetic test strips. About 50 grams in around 55 minutes places most people in the high end of what is considered to be the "therapeutic range". A second 50 gram drip slowed over three hours should maintain that level of C, therefore, cancer cells are exposed to the therapeutic level for over three hours rather than the level just being reached maybe for 25 or 30 minutes and then quickly dropping off when the drip ends. The level of C does drop off very quickly once the drip has ended which is why a one hour infusion may have little effect.
Stay well my friend!

Here is what we have noticed with Vitamin C therapy......Jim has not been sick, at all! I have picked up colds from our grandchildren and am miserable....Jim not a thing. Once everyone in our family was sick, I mean everyone, all the kids and parents and me....Jim skated right through! Its crazy, I know, but this is exactly what is happening in the past year. We just started to realize this in the last couple of months! He is full of tumors but never gets sick or has a cold...so far he says no pain from the bone cancer as well! He tells me he feels much better after his intravenous C. He does 75,000 twice a week. He has blood work every month.
Hail Mary? Or grasping at straws?
