I second, 6357axbz, advice, it's paramount getting care from an experienced PCa oncologist. You'll get personalized best-class treatment, instead of following a generic "common-practice" guide.
My first injection of Lupron in 2004 came from a Radiation Oncologist who did the Brachytherapy in 2003. He told me that any Physician that deals with PCa will have a supply on hand. BTW, my next injection was by my Medical Oncologist. And I had either Lupron or Eligard for the next six years. I wish you the best.
This is the response I got after inquiring about a two month extension on my Lupron.
Per Dr. N (communication averse radiation oncologist),
You do not need any more shots.
B N MD (very young urologist)
Lol. I have been having these type of experiences throughout this PCa journey, and from multiple doctors.
My six month lupron shot was given on March 3, so it's about done. My brachy is scheduled for Sept 10 after which, the radiation will continue for 1-2 months after seed installation.
So I will be getting RT without the ADT coverage from here on out.
What are your thoughts?
Should I continue to look for ADT extension or just give up?
