Treatment plan update - keep searching for the brass ring

HopingForTheBest1 profile image

Have decided to continue Jevtana/Carbo chemo despite continually rising PSA, as recent scans did not indicate evidence of disease progression. Treatment #9 coming Aug 25.

Switched from Prednisone to Dexamethasone.

Had Guardant liquid biopsy Aug 12. Expect report in 1 week.

Scheduled consult with Radiation Oncologist, Aug 16

Meeting Dr Beltran at Dana Farber Boston, Aug 24 to discuss future treatment options, including -

1. Pluvicto

2. trial at Johns Hopkins Baltimore ( NCT# 04503265) using a PARP. Had previous good result from Lynparza for close to 2 years, and hope this will work too.

3. NY Columbia (NCT#03972657) a BiTE trial using REGN5678 combined with Libtayo/Cemiplimab. Recommended by my MO.

Hoping for the best.

So glad to hear that your recent scan looked stable. Look forward to hearing about your Guardant results. Hopefully something promising will come of that. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for sharing, Hoping. I am sorry that you have to endure the continuing frustration of chasing PSA with chemo in the face of (apparently) no progression. It must be incredibly stressful. Hopefully Guardant results will provide additional incite.

Keeping you in my thoughts and hoping that a route forward for you will become clear soon.

Glad to hear the scans are not progressing. I think it’s good to get as much as you can out of your current treatment as there are no guarantees other treatments will work better. Good to hear you have multiple options if it does become time to make a change.
