Hey Gang,

I'm still alive and kicking. Still awaiting Kaiser Medicare to approve the PSMA. MO wants to see if they can biopsy and do genetics. Had an Invitae done with all of negative for mutations

Okay so how does that work? Is this Cabazataxel alone, or with Carboplatin? M.O. told me the max number of cycles with Carbo is 10 with three week intervals. I'll get number 8 of 6 next Friday.

Have asked for Carboplatin since about chemo # 4. MO said he would if PSA progressed, but yesterday on a phone appt, he wants PSMA first and not have Carbo affect the scan🤔So, if no actionable areas, then he said add Carboplatin

I'm about to start Cabazitaxel. How do the side effects compare to Docetaxel?

Hi, lost hair about 3 Taxoteres in, both in 2015 and 2020, but have long *ss hair despite 12 Cabazitaxels. Mild neuropathy after the 15th and last Taxotere in 12/2015. Some dysgeusia ( bad taste) for both. A bit of insomnia with both.Fasted two days prior to each and that really helped offset the side effects!

I'm about halfway thru a 100km "Release the Kraken" virtual race.Wish I could do 16 miles, but have anemia and low hemoglobin from low T.

Last 1/2 marathon was Feb 2020 in Zion Utah

Did a 65 miler for the "Road to Hana" and a 70miler for "Niagara Falls" virtual race

Mahalo nui loa (Hawaiian for Thank you very much)I'm so very much a glass half full kinda guy, and that really has helped with this accursed PCa. I told my MO the other day, that I may be the most upbeat, optimistic 7 1/2 yr Stage IV cancer pt. He wholeheartedly agreed

As I've posted before, life's too short to stay home or be a D*ck :-)

Randy, after that many chemo treatments, what kind of permanent side effects do you have? Energy levels still good? Best of luck! Scott

Hi, it hasn't zapped my energy much at all. Nothing ever permanent has occurred. During the chemo yesterday, I did squats, whilst on the lounger, I did leg workouts eg scissor kicks. Also danced to Life is a highway, after I posted the vid here on HU. Did 50 jumping Jack's in the stairwell afterwards, and last night before dinner, a 5k walk.My theory is to speed up my heart rate and that will circulate the chemo more throughout my body, thus increasing the kill rate. The nurses see me and just smile😂

I'm a crazy driven Type AAA AZN, tryna get an A+ in chemo 🤣
