Lu 177

For those who have gone through Lu 177 treatments! May I ask did you have any side effects? How well it worked, or did not ? My husband was approved for it. I’ve heard so may conflicting things. Praying this helps. I know it’s not curative. Just hoping it buys some more time and memories. We need something. We are running out options. Thank you!!!

My husband finally had his first Pluvicto on 6/21/22 and has experienced no side effects yet. His PSA dropped 100 points but is still high at either 200 or 250 depending on the lab used.

You'll see tons of reports if you search for what has been posted already. From great successes to failures.

Bill just had his first one a few weeks ago. There was quite a bit more pain in the first 24 hours than we were expecting from inflammation so the third day scan and drive home were a bit more challenging then expected. It lasted for a few days and has been much better now. He also seems to be thinking more clearly. Don’t know yet how well it worked against the disease.

I had two infusions & it reduced the PSA from 19 to 3 points. But it lasted two years only & was back to 19 again.Side effects for me were ulcer pain again after years of nothing & pain in right knee, but the knees have arthritis & are sensitive.

The pain of costing $20K also.

We would be extremely happy for two more years of quality life and your PSA results. Would you have more lutetium if you could get it?

Yes, I was going for three treatments & the way the PSA was falling LU-177 would have kicked the PCA out? But who knows because they stopped the third treatment & now Firmagon seems to be doing the same thing with less financial cost.

Not yet, Firmagon reduced the PSA from 19 to 0.46 & am having time out from the ADT but the T is coming back so time to start again. When they realised I had not had the usual treatment for PC they cancelled my third infusion of LU-177.
