December's PSA 0.9, January 1,8, March 4.4 and April 5.0, been on elegard, arbitrone, dexasameth with abutrone and xgeve monthly. The only change between March and April is a cut back on sugar in my drinks and very little candy. I seenyhe oncologist next week to see next plan of attack. If he puts me on xtandi what is the cost with insurance you pay, just to be ready.

If the cancer is failing treatment with abiraterone and there is radiological progression of the cancer , then it seems more effective to do chemo or Lu 177 PSMA than trying other anti androgen since they may have the same mechanism of resistance. There ar clinical trials for Lu 177 PSMA, just look in clinicaltrials.gov.

Kaiser list price of Xtandi is $13, 581 per month ( 120 capsules, 4X 40 mg per day ) ….. my monthly copay is $100. Just “ re-up’ed “ a day ago. My insurer is government OPM.

My husband is on Xtandi and the cost is $4,000 retail per month and he pays $22.61 only. Same dose 120 pills (4 per day). Government assist, we live in Canada I'm surprised the cost is so much higher where you are.

In the USA , generally speaking, those are insurance coverage prices and regular people aren’t expected to pay those prices, only insurance billing numbers. I’ve seen it as low as about $8500 here tho. People on the group know of special financial assistance programs for people without insurance if needed. I can’t imagine someone without insurance being DXed with advanced PCa and not having insurance. Yikes. Kaiser claims to have spent about $467,000 on my cancer care for the last 44 months … I estimate my out of pocket for that has been around $4200.

No kidding …….

Seems like there is price gouging and profit manipulation or something like that going on there somewhere. In the real world it’s got little to nothing to do with me tho. I get what I need for my medical needs for almost nothing out of pocket to me…. That’s all I care about.

Ain’t that da truth !!! Yayahahahaya yayahahahaya. For real buddy . 😂😂😂😂

I have never paid a penny for Xrandi. My prescription plan is Express Scripts. Between Express Scripts and their SaveOn program and the Xrandi loyalty program the total monthly cost is covered.
