Should I consider Cyberknife ? I am in a real quandary about which way to go.
Radical Robotic Prostatectomy vs. Rad... - Advanced Prostate...
Radical Robotic Prostatectomy vs. Radiation and hormone treatment. That is my question. Stage 2. Aggressive Tumor.

From experience, I wish I had my prostate. Surgery should be the last alternative in my opinion

I am 74 years old. I am a Mental Health Professional in Long Island NY. I work half time five days a week. Fusion Biopsy results on 3/15/2022. PSA 9.5 T1c, 1 lesion, T1 LM, 3 spec 12 core. Gleasons 4+3,4+3 and 3+4. HGPIN, Adenocarcinoma 60%,20% and 5% in three areas. PSMA PET (PYLARIFY) No evidence of Metastatic Disease. MRI ; Lesion contained to prostate, PI-RADS category 3. No treatment yet, but Urologist tells me it's an aggressive type of tumor, so it should be treated with Radical Prostatectomy or Radiation with Hormone treatment. He believes that Cyberknife is not indicated in my case. Getting appointments with Doctors is nearly impossible, wait of 2-3 months for consultations. I am not sure what to do. They tell me not to worry because it grows very slowly, however, at one point it can metastasize. I don't think the Doctors can tell me how long it is safe to wait to start treatment. If the tumor is "aggressive" I would think that I shouldn't wait too long to decide. I am going for a consultation with a Cyberknife specialist at NYU on Monday. It is overwhelming and confusing, and, needless to say frustrating to deal with "corporate " medicine. Any thoughts about cyberknife? Radical robotic prostatectomy ? Had germline testing last week. No results yet, but my father died of Pancreatic Cancer at age 68. No treatment looks ideal, but certainly some look more scary than others. I don't think I can do 45 radiation sessions plus hormones for 3 years and continue to work. So, as of now I'm leaning toward surgery hoping the radiation oncologist disagrees with my Urologist about Cyberknife. The literature is not that clear regarding Cyberknife for the type of tumor I have. Some articles say it's OK, others say not OK. Me ????????????????????????????????????????? Feedback please.
