Jevtana/Carboplatin

I’m currently receiving Jevtana/Carboplatin treatment under Dr Kwon at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. I’m getting my second dose today in Maple Wood, MN. I live South of DC. Anyone know of a oncologist providing this treatment at Johns Hopkins Hospital Baltimore MD, or in DC and preferably in northern Virginia? Thank you.

Ask Dr Kwon and he may be able to refer you to a local oncologist in your area to administer the treatments. That's what he did for my husband.

Lots of great medical oncologists at Johns Hopkins - Pienta, Eisenberger, Denmeade, or Carducci.

Thanks TA. Currently seeing Dr Denmeade. I'm just wondering why he never mentioned it or went ahead and prescribed it. I did docetaxel and Jevtanna under Dr. Denmeade, but neither worked. So, Baltimore, here I come.

Has adding carboplatin worked?

I was getting worse until I had my first dose. I'm in the chair now getting my second dose. This is the first time I looked forward to chemo. I do beleive it is working.

I will complete six sessions then I will go for a PET CT Choline scan sometime in mid-June
