This sounds like the trial long since completed at UCLA. Many of us here have already had the GA68 PSMA PET CT scan

The story reads like the VA invented this procedure out of necessity.

I didn’t read it all but hopefully enough to get a good sense about what they are doing. If they are doing something unique than it’s possible I missed it.

Slightly different formula acct what they have available to them in Missouri VA. They are using it but must do over testing for new formula to satisfy the FDA. Nice to have it available in the middle of the US so people don't have to go to LA VA to get it....Things are getting better for VA patients, and that is really saying something...

It is the same GA 68 PSMA ligand to do PET/CTs approved by the FDA to be used only at UCLA and UCSF. They did the study that got the ligand approved.
