Hello Ladies and Gents , January 2024 I have a choice of the PSMA-PET at Veterans Administration (V.A.) and at the University of Chicago . I had my first PSMA-Pet at V.A 2 yrs ago where the 1 pelvic Lymph node was discovered . Radiation followed to the pevic lymph node followed by 25 fractions across the entire pelvic area . My MO at V.A. is Dr. Henry . My Mo at U of Chicago is Dr. Smulewitz . Im thinking there should be no difference in the procedures . The only difference I see is who reads the scan . So should it make any difference where I go for the scan ? Im covered both ways no out of pocket expense . Thanks All Merry Christmas .

If any of the two is to be performed on a digital PET scanner should earn your preference IMO. You will be told the usual BS regarding the reader being the key, but a state of the art imaging study can be read by a number of readers of various competences while a lacking one imposes its limitations to every reader including the sharpest ones. Information like energy can't be produced out of nothing.
Get the same scan you had before. Because you are tracking, this is no time to switch.
Get a twofer..........
