I'd like to recommend a book for members of the forum. The Undoing Project by Michael Lewis is a very entertaining read, amazon.com/The-Undoing-Proj....
It covers the collaboration between the Israeli psychologists Amos Taversky and Daniel Kahneman. Taversky and Kahneman identified the cognitive biases we all use when making decisions from limited or statistical data. Kahneman made major contributions to advancing evidence based medicine.
Their work in behavioral economics led to a Noble Prize in Economics for Kahneman following Taversky's passing. Up until they produced there work, the prevailing theory of economics was that people always make optimal choices in their economic interest. So, essentially their work won a Noble Prize for making the surprising conclusion that people aren't always rational.
Micheal Lewis is a very entertaining writer who explains complex subjects in a fun way. He also wrote The Big Short about the 2006 housing crisis.

I thought Daniel Kahneman's Thinking Fast and Slow was excellent. It enlightened me about how my own thinking is often flawed. So I looked up The Undoing Project reviews on Amazon. Mixed but mostly good, so I'll probably order it. Thanks for the recommendation.
I read Kanehman’s Thinking Fast and Slow after The Undoing Project. I found Lewis’ style much more entertaining while still illuminating the insights of Kahneman and Taversky.
I tried reading Fast and Slow and could not handle it but I was having rather severe brain fog and lack of concentration. Forget what I did my not having cognitive problems now so might give it another try.
