Since the time I have started estrogen therapy I am facing incontinence problem. Having tried pads, leak proof underwear etc now I am using this on top cathedral system.
As my leakage is not much I don’t use the bag. First a boxer underwear, then this device and again a V shape underwear. I have cut the pipe and fix a close end small piece of the bag pipe which can be opened and closed as required.
As my leakage is not much this over head plastic cup is sufficient. Empty is as and when required.
No rashes or chances of infection. Reusable, wash and sanitize again and again. Not costing much. About 25 USD.
At night or when lying no leakage.

Wow! now you will need to carry a small back pack with backup supplies. Call USC Norris Cancer Hospital (323-865-3000) and speak to one of there Urologist in the Prostate cancer clinic about an A.U.S. Artificial Urinary Sphincter made by AMS. Look it up. It's an AMS Sphincter 800. I had it put in in 2006. It works.
I have a AUS also. Very easy to use, closes itself. Yes it’s a surgery, but oh has it been worth it.
I think it’s great however a man chooses to deal with it. Personally I’m baffled why anyone would want to wear something like this, and find it sort of humorous when such a device is praised for its convenience.
Yet I am sure there are many who prefer this type of solution. So thank you for posting this!
I wouldn’t touch anything like it unless there was no AUS, but I have no business advising against it.
In my prostate cancer group there are 2 men with the AUS but if there reasons that it can not be done for your husband I am so sorry as these guys thrilled to be off the unit you show and pads.
Interesting contraption! I had sling surgery for stress incontinence. It’s worked pretty well but I still need to use a pad now and then. I am on estradiol and am a bit surprised that you say it caused ur incontinence . I’ve had a lot of radiation and figured that was the cause. Are you certain? Thanks
First RRP then radiation and now on estrogens. I think all have contributed a bit.
Any way as long as my PSA and PSMA scan is fine I am happy. Latest PSA <0.008 and negative scan.
Over that incontinence is also not disturbing my quality of life much. While sleeping/lying no leakage, 2/3 pads and this system during day and in Gym.
