The battle is not with the cancer, the battle is the daily living with a terminal cancer which you know is going to kill you most probable in a cruel death, with bone metastases, fractures , nerve compressions etc.

One has to struggle with all the feelings of knowing that whatever you do , treatments will fail and eventually the cancer will cause your death. The battle is living with a terminal cancer and add life to your days and not days to your life. It is not easy.

Thanks for that encouraging, upbeat way to think about cancer. You sound like the life of the party.

I just said how I feel and what is my daily struggle. I do not want to start a discussion . I have been dealing with this cancer for the last 19 years and that is more than enough for me. I am sorry if my comments offended you in any way.

Thanks Spyder. I wish to have added more life to my days. Trying to do it now, besides continuing to look for new experimental treatments.

I wish you the best of luck on your journey.

Your words have been stewing in the back of my head since you posted this. I feel like I totally get what you are saying. I have gone through periods where I try really hard to "add more life to my days" and it's exhausting to try to do everything I possibly can, to make the most of every day. Right now my treatments are going smoothly, and I have settled in to worrying less and getting a lot of satisfaction in just supporting as normal of a family life as I can. Making a living, supporting my high-school daughter, helping maintain a solid foundation. That is giving me a quiet sense of doing the best that I can with my days.

I should know the struggle is harder for many. I also shouldn't post when recovering from Covid. I truly hope I didn't offend you.

Best wishes for your recovery. It can certainly be rough for some (as it was for me).

Thats a hilarious comedy routine. It makes me think when we say what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, hell think about it, those cancer cells are saying the same thing about chemo and radiation and ADT

And he’s right- its not losing a battle since the cancer dies with us. Its at worst A DRAW

in reply to

I agree it’s A draw ! Some solace in ending its path too.

in reply to

I’ve thought of that saying . If it doesn’t kill us . Treatments do not make us stronger .. at best they extend life . That statement dosnt apply to APC treatments. We all know it?. Good day ! ✌️😳

Letterman loved him some Norm .👏👏👏

I’ve been watching many clips. One that got him in trouble was the Clintons photo walking together and he introduced the Pres and the first bitch.. SNL producer then a friend of OJ s was why he let him go .

Thank you Sir for posting this . I guess we will see how many liked norm? 🤙🏽

Thanks Randy, Norm will be missed, but he has been missed for awhile as he has not been doing much on TV. My guess is he's really ripping it up in heaven. Lucky bastards.

Classic. That guy was so funny on SNL. So thats where the “Cancer is not a win or loss, it is a draw” came from 2 days ago. Classic. Another one bites the dust. Thanks Dockam for the share,

Mike
