To all my brothers here, I thank you for all the support, kind words and great advise. Last Saturday after three COVID delays over 2 years, we married off our daughter, our one and only child. It was a night to remember. Walking her down the aisle……unreal, giving her away to a Midwest awesome guy that we love like a son….Joyful, Giving a speech to all my friends and family….miraculous. Dancing the ‘father daughter dance’ to our favorite song…..PRICELESS! Keep fighting the fight guys and making more memories. Trust me when I say it’s worth it…..

Congrats to you Schwah! It’s events like this that keep us going even when we are struggling to deal with the physical and emotional issues surrounding our advanced PCa, and it gives us a much greater appreciation for all of the ways our lives have been blessed.
I have walked both my daughters down the aisle. Both joyous occasions. Actually had a couple of dollars and change left over. Now spending that on 2 grand babies!
Thanks for sharing. These are the kinds of things that put all of this into perspective and make sense out these treatments we are doing to be here for the ones we love. Now that cancer has taught me more about what's important, being here for those we love is even more valuable.
Congratulations and thanks for this post! I keep moving the benchmark- hoping to see my kids get out of high school right now, but I damn sure want to be around for weddings later. Thanks for your reminder

Yes, when we are in the fight of our lives moments like these are intensely more meaningful. I saw my son get married while on this fight. The speechifying, the gatherings, the joining of families...all the more precious. But I must add that the arrival of 3 grandchildren over the last 2 years has added immensely to my life and that of the family. I had no preconceptions or idea of what it would be like to be a grandfather but I can tell you I enjoy every single second I am with them. I’m sure members of this forum who have grandchildren understand. Cheers, Phil

So happy for you and looks like a d awesome wedding! I had the same pleasure with my youngest daughter last Oct. and you are right our families are why we fight so hard!
This is beautiful! We found out my dad's prostate cancer had become metastatic and castrate resistant exactly 1 week before my wedding. Despite the devastating news, that didn't stop him from all the crazy dance moves he pulled off that night.
Congratulations Schwah. The same thing happened in my life this month. Two years back when I was diagnosed, Google doctor said 6 months and the oncologist was very pessimistic too. My younger son was speechless when he heard that. I thought I would never see him getting married. But cancer went into remission immediately as soon as the treatment started and we had a great wedding in Greece in early July. Never give up my friends. Again Congratulations to newlyweds and proud parents.
