Radium 223 and weight loss

Hi, Has anyone experienced a weight loss following one course of treatment of Xofigo.

Good morning. I’ve taken 3 treatments and continue to lose weight. I don’t seem to have an appetite. I also needed to lose some weight, so I’m not to upset about cutting off the cancers food source. Hopefully that’s what is happening. I’m averaging about 12lbs a month. I know that I can’t let this continue for the entire 6 months but not super worried about it at the moment. I do make sure to stay hydrated.

After all you've done, it's flat out stinks that your are in this situation. I'm praying for you (and other fellas in similar situations) to have good lasting responses to your treatments. Fight on brother.

I was 53 when diagnosed. Got the "you're such a young guy" response. Unfortunately the age doesn't matter.

Thanks TomTom. Yes unfortunately age doesn’t matter. Now allWe can do is stay positive and fight the beast. My goal is to be stubborn enough to stick around long enough for them to fund a cure. Hopefully that works out for many of us in this group.

Hello - 3rd treatment for my husband in a couple weeks. The weight loss is horrible. He does not need to lose weight. I'm worried. Oncologist is telling him to eat 5 small meals a day and supplement with shakes. How are you doing now?

Yes. My husband has lost 20 pounds. He is past his 3rd treatment. Oncologist is telling him to eat as much as possible. He did not need to lose any weight. After he started eating as much as possible and he is doing a little better. He is also not working out every single day.
