Yea …. Back about a decade or more it was all the rage. I bought the concentrated drops, the capsules and even went as far as buying raw plant material to “ cook “ ( concentrate with a soxlet extractor ) my own alkaloids. I got some bad renal results 3 months ago and could only attribute it to:
1) lack of hydration at the time of the blood draw.
2) Was taking naproxen sodium every day for minor wake up pains.
So... I stopped taking Aleve and hydrated. Redraw 3 weeks later, all was back to normal.

Yep same here … my GP tried to steer me to one of the prescription nsaids before my opioid prescriptions. I tried a couple …. They drove my alt liver test up dramatically and my microalbumin went ballistic. Didn’t work for me and made me sick. Long term use of nsiads is always risky for everything from stomach ulcers to kidney damage. Using high powered nsaids speeds up the “ the time to damage “ time. IMHO, if you use them, use them sparingly and keep an eye on your liver enzymes. That was “ my “ personal experience….others experience may vary.

For me they were ok because I didn’t know any other life. However, winters in Indiana are long and brutal and we were dirt poor …. It was a rugged life with zero luxuries and extras. We had very minimal electricity and heated with a single central coal stove. Our kitchen stove used wood. I got the heck out of Dodge ( yayahahahaya) as soon as I could, especially after starting to visiting relatives in the city after I got a little older. Visiting the city was like going to Disneyland….. I never looked back.

Yayahahahaya…..well a wall full of framed lettuces might be handy during your earning days , and putting that long green in your pocket ( but not always ) … there’s lots more veggies growing in that garden. That plus all that wall lettuce wilts with age. Things even out over time with well rooted veggies. It’s all good. With my luck ,I’d be the lettuce that gets dug by the hoe. That and think of all the broken ( and washed ) lettuce hearts when their significant other runs off with the Bok choy . Don’t even mention the scary butterflies. Yikes …. 😂😂😂

Curcumin and ginger together. If pain is really bad a couple ibuprofen and black coffee. I expect you know about APC, a drug for pain no longer manufactured. Aspirin, Percocet and caffeine! It was found that caffeine increased the drug's ability to relieve pain.
I have mentioned this before. In the spring when dandelions first shoot up, my grandparent's would gather the dandelions and steam and eat them like spinach as a "tonic".

About 12 years ago while shopping in a grocery, store a short woman asked me to if I would please reach a can of dark cherries for her. I handed one to her. She asked me to hand her several more cans of dark cherries. These cherries weren't the bright red type with syrup used in pies, just dark cherries in water. I asked if she as going to bake a pie. She told me that her husband has gout and that he keeps his gout under control by eating these cherries without the side effects the medication he had been prescribed gave him! I was surprised by that.

Them cherries are great also but the pills go down every day with the other pills and don't have to worry about breaking another tooth. 🙂 I also include celery seed in my Curry mixture that I ad to most everything I eat.

I know you can’t talk about them but back many years ago, I used to love hiking up to the warning signs of my local coastal nuclear power plant … with my gamma spectrometer equipment and making great spectrograms of the extremely minute rad signatures found around nuke sites. My nuke hobby started with my nuclear weapons training in the military and continued into my medical career where I certified and repaired dozens of kinds of full body gamma scanners, neutron scanners , bone density scanners , etc. in V.A. Hospitals. You can Google me making gamma spectrograms on YouTube ( K4NLZ $2 part 2 ) back before I got sick. Sold everything now. Didn’t want to stick my wife with it. Better back in the bank. If you try the filling , some cans are better than others and the beneficial effects only lasts about 4-5 hours . In nearly all cases the benefits are very mild. Nothing too strong or scary. Better natural meds with the same base ingredient are available.
