Out here in the rain, It only took me45 min for 7 miles. I like it at home. Snow slowed our 5 1/2 hour trip over Snowqualame to 7 hours. Happy white Christmas.
Next time you see a car commercial on TV watch how fast those cars just go whizzing by....
Reality:
From Connecticut, you get to Manhattan in four hours and then spend two hours looking for a parking space and finally settle parking in a local parking facility. That will cost you $48.00 + tax for the first 1/2 hour and finally they will take you car as collateral for the remaining costs (and of course then there's the tip) ....
Get this, in my neighborhood parking for one hour at a meter costs $2.25 and for two hours it's $5.00...(and math was not my favorite subject, sex was/is).
Think of it like any bridge or tunnel toll β without the river.
The idea: You charge people money to drive in certain places. That fee, in theory, discourages some drivers from getting on the road, potentially reducing overall traffic.
A primer from the U.S. Department of Transportation calls the pricing scheme βa way of harnessing the power of the market to reduce the waste associated with traffic congestion.β
LOL That was me...... but you could have recognized me by the biggest............in the group...Never mind that mostly hidden in crevices....... Happy and a Worry Less New Year...
