I have retired from Australian advanced prostate cancer support to write my memoirs.
But I have left a JimJimJimJim.com website with lots of Australian support contacts.
Nothing to match HealthUnlocked's massive resource ...
But, for Australians only:
Phone numbers for:
a prostate cancer nurse, a psychologist, a man to talk to who has advanced prostate cancer, Lifeline for depression support, Beyond Blue for anxiety, depression, suicide prevention, Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) local support groups, the monthly Advanced Phone-in meeting (Which Nev now runs), and some links to some small local Facebook groups.
My YouTube channel and Forums are still there as a useful resource.
When I discovered that some men who were interested did not know that the three-bar 'hamburger' button gives menus on mobile phones, I made the home page an old-fashioned 'click the links' page .
Check it out at: JimJimJimJim.com
Cheers

Thanks for all your help Jim. You gave me brilliant advice - and I live in the UK - giving me phone numbers and names of charities and consultants and help in my hour of need and I am glad to say that nearly 5 years on I am quite well - apart from the usual getting older nonsense, and my PSA is still undetectable. Thank you. You are a wonderful gentleman and will be missed from your work with the Australian Advanced Prostate Cancer groups. Blessings on you.
Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Jim, you are going to be missed. I met you many times at the PCRI conference in Los Angeles. I attended this conference seven times in a row (2013-2019) before Covid-19 put an end to flights from Canada and Australia. My fondest recollection is you whipping around from session to session on your four wheel scooter. I also remember sitting beside you once. The speaker was trying somewhat unsuccessfully to explain what a Gleason score meant. You leaned over and said: "this bloke doesn't know what the hell he is talking about". I almost spilled my coffee, I was laughing so hard. You are a credit to your country and an inspiration to me and so many others. Good luck with your memoirs and take care!
Thanks for remembering me. But you got the scooter wrong. It has three wheels, and from time to time racing around the corridors spends some time on two. I posted a pic of me after a PCRI conference at Yosemite at jimjimjimjim.com/private
Oi, Oi, Oi You are so right it was a three wheel scooter. As I get older my memory starts to fade a little. I was in the crowd when you were presented with the PCRI award. Well deserved. Congratulations on winning that award and on your retirement.
