I year since Diagnosis and how much more precious life has become.

Tomorrow marks the 1 year anniversary of diagnosis of my husbands prostate cancer. 3+4, Psa 11. What a year it has been. Knowledge is power and I just wanted to say how grateful I am to have found this site and all you guys. So thank you.

I log on to catch up on healthunlocked posts almost every day.

RP for Dave was 11 months ago and since then his bloods have been 0.03. No further treatment offered. His bloods are due to be done this week and we see his urologist in 2 wks. However, The Irish health service has been attacked by Russian cyber hackers, so our IT systems are on a go slow to no go for now holding up such appointments. I feel so sorry for those in worse situations than us. I’m typing this message and feel like I’m writing fiction but it’s true, the Russians want money from the Irish government. It’s a crazy world.

Anyway, I’ll update you when I know his bloods, we will be seeking an oncologist following on from this next session.

David is very lucky one year on from RP to have absolute minimal to no side effects from RP, he says an odd glimpse of his scares is his reminder.

Life has become more precious to us as we now appreciate each day much more.

Thank you again guys, I for one would be lost without you all.

It’s great that your husband’s PSA has held at 0.03 & that he has had a good recovery from surgery. Best of luck with his recent test. My PSA is currently due and has been held up by the Cyber attack as well.
