Good day, just wondering what you are doing to prevent yourself from catching the virus? Of course mask and social distancing is a given, but what supplements or diet are you on if ever?

Thanks a lot

Edit - forgot to mention the vaccines since here in Philippines theyre not here yet lol

If vaccine works, why are masks still required? And social distancing??

That’s because the Pfizer and Moderna trials tracked only how many vaccinated people became sick with Covid-19. That leaves open the possibility that some vaccinated people get infected without developing symptoms, and could then silently transmit the virus — especially if they come in close contact with others or stop wearing masks.

If vaccinated people are silent spreaders of the virus, they may keep it circulating in their communities, putting unvaccinated people at risk.

Since taking vitamin D over the past few years (as little as 1000 IU up to 5000 IU) I have not had a single cold. Over my adult life, there were few if any winters where that happened (I'm in northern New England). Normally, I would get a few minor colds and one or more "bad" ones every year.

So some suggest this may help with COVID defense, too.

Less religiously, I also started taking zinc (at 10mg up to 50 mg) about a year ago, as COVID spread. Sometime just as a pill, but I also bought the lozenges that are sold to shorten/prevent colds. (Nature's Way brand has Vitamin C 100 mg, Zinc (citrate and gluconate) 23 mg, and Echinacea 20 mg.)

Those may or may not be helpful, but probably not harmful, and are as cheap as a nickel a pop.

Also, a daily baby aspirin may help with inflammation. Dietary adjustments and quality sleep can do likewise. I suspect "proper" diet and sleep habits help both with preventing and recovering from many viral infections. (Those colds I used to get quite often followed some degree of sleep deprivation and/or alcohol consumption.)

And, of course, a vaccine... just got my first dose yesterday!

The 'vaccine' isn't a vaccine at all - it's actually GENE therapy, based on (attempted) cancer treatments.. In fact, the FDA stated it clearly that it does NOT meet the definition of a vaccine. The WHO is complicit in spreading this 'experimental' solution that has some serious flaws in its implications - it is the biggest fraud ever pulled off in human history - BUT it is a 'band-aid that has a risk / reward profile that SOME individuals would be wise too heed - in other words, take it because it MIGHT reduce the symptoms and assist those who would get very ill. The concept of herd immunity is a paper tiger and the new variants will likely set us back to square one.

The politicians have NO real solution, so they join the media in putting out a 'message of hope' knowing full well that they need to continue to perpetuate the fraud - because the emperor has no clothes.

Am I going to get the 'vaccine' ?

Still debating and the suppression of the real 'truth' scares the hell out of me - but what is the alternative - I don't think there is another narrative that would 'satisfy the masses' and without exposing the politicians.

I've read that MAYBE ADT has shown to protect SOME individuals and I would try to boost my immune system with supplements - some have already been listed by others .....

I actually got the VID. I had been doing the ionic zinc, quercitin, vit D, Vid C. Covid symptoms lasted about a week, headache, some chills, a couple of night sweats, a couple of days of shortness of breath. Nothing too bad. Then a couple of days if fatigue. Maybe the ADT helped lessen the severity?

Hey keepinon!

I would think that your supplement regimen was a positive factor in the "mild" case you had.

Nice cat! A cat's purr has healing qualities--except when one is sleeping and the cat is purring in your ear to get you up!

It is hard to speculate abut wat 'worked and what didn't' - I'm no expert - I do know on thing - we are being lied to on a massive scale and there are MANY 'contra' voices that are being silenced - doctors and medical experts - they aren't allowed to express their views because the 'powers that be' don't have a realistic plan to deal with this real crisis .The truth is that a fake 'vaccine' is not the answer for everyone and that it is a short term gain for longer term gain. A REAL vaccine needs to be developed IF that is the desired end game - otherwise, herd immunity will eventually win the day - for those whose health was good enough to fight a 'flu' like epidemic.

The 'world' needs to have a real lockdown to stop the spread - that is the BEST way to deal with it AND for those who test positive, they need to be isolated BY FORCE if need be to stop the madness and denial.

That would be more effective than allowing society to rum amok again thinking that the vaccine has solved the crisis.

That isn't saleable - WHY / - because far too many people DON"T get sick from Covid - only the more frail and those whose unhealthy lifestyles set the table for more severe consequences - AND there appears to be a genetic factor as well - but I don't want to be called a racist.

in reply toRonnyBaby

I'm surprised that I am the only one so far to challenge you on your silly rant about this being a 'fake vaccine' and that the voices of truth are being silenced. I'm calling you out now -- stop with the fake, conspiracy slanted BS you are slinging.

There is no Plan B - so we await what could become a very bad ending for a lot of people and WHAT IF the 'vaccine back-fires' - then what ?

I remain UNDECIDED because I realize that I'm a high(er) risk and a good 'candidate' for the 'vaccine', but I MIGHT be better off without it.

This is a tough decision to make and I'm not rushing to the clinics.

In my part of CANADA, we remain in a lockdown as they talk about a fourth wave that has started - the economy for some is in ruins and some rely on handouts for survival.

That is YOUR solution - I wish there was something more realistic coming from those that really know what's going on and continue to 'lie to the people'. To THEIR credit, they offer hope - but that will only go so far.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong

Only to keep your distance from others. Interesting that everyone takes for granted that wearing a face mask reduces the spread of the virus. Has anyone seen any evidence, such as an RCT? The only RCT I found could not prove anything:

acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326...

Wearing a mask is not so common here in Sweden.

I don’t do anything. If I ever got it I didn’t notice it. I was sick for a few days in January 2020. My mother in the assisted living supposedly had it but but she had no symptoms.

There is a DNA aspect to Covid. A mutated allele supposedly is important in causing a negative reaction in some individuals and might be one reason certain families are more prone. If you have done a DNA for ancestry.com or the other geneological services you can submit your data to traitwell.com and get a rating on how susceptible you are to the virus
