That is what I did when I rechallenged zytiga. .5 dex. That was based on clinical trial information I researched online. I did not look further to see if they did a dose escalation study. Good luck.

How did your rechallenge with zytiga work out?

Well it lasted about 8 months and then I had an issue with lymph nodes blocking my uters and then needed nephrostomy tubes. But after three months of Taxol I may be getting the tubes removed due to a significant reduction in lymph node involvement (procedure is today). After chemo I intend to rechallenge with zytiga as I got a couple year run on the first go around.

Thank you.

Thank you

From what I remember, approximately 40% of trial participants had a PSA response downward.

I also responded to the switch. I switched a year ago and have had an undetectable PSA since I did.

I'm doing .5mg per day.

That means it worked for one year that’s pretty awesome

So far, it's working. Of course I go through the same anxiety that everyone else does when I get my blood tests done. My next tests are in May. Hoping my luck doesn't run out :)

0.5 mg of dexamethasone per day is rated a bit lower than 10 mg prednisone. But this is sufficiently effective in combination with Abiraterone. This is the dose used in the studies.

After three years with Zytiga I transitioned from 10mg Prednison to 0,5mg Dexamethason without issues. After three more years, I stopped Zytiga and Dexa. I should probably have stopped gradually, but that’s almost impossible when your dosis is half a pill. After one week I felt fine again.

Did you mean dexamethesone with zytiga gave you 3 more years so you were like 6 years on zytiga?

Yes, I was more than six years on Zytiga. I believe the shift to dexa was an advantage, but I have no hard evidence. During the same period I have also received PSMA Lutetium nine times, and that, in combination Zytiga, is a very effective cocktail.

Ditto on the 0.5..it's likely not perfect, but I tried 1.0 and it wasn't fun.
