In India, you can get APCEDEN, which is also an autologous dendritic cell vaccine and may be even better than Provenge.

Okay thank you very much what’s your opinion on recent findings that provenge prolongs survival time something like 15 months if I am not wrong

My Doctor told us at a medical conference he was giving that it could increase survival up to three years in some patients according to New finding and studies.

Perhaps you mean this:

urotoday.com/recent-abstrac...

But he misunderstood. It only says that the median survival was as long as 4 years. It did NOT address the median survival INCREASE, which was about 4 MONTHS.

I got Provenge when PSA was 0..1 Dr said it was the bedt opportunity to take advantage of the Provenge .

Would you call the urotoday article a little misleading. Or maybe a lot misleading. Most, including myself, would say wow 4 years. I want some of that. 4 months is way different than 4 years. Statistics can be a can of worms. Ask almost any politician.

3-4 months life extension seems to be average for all these drugs. Zytiga, Xanadi, provenge etc

Is that correct TA?

And I've been on chemo for 6 months and Xtandi for 3 and half years, lupron for almost 4 years. I'm 2 weeks to 4 year mark. Extensive bone mets. Now appear to be stable. Gleason 9. It almost seems like it's just a roll of the dice. My lifestyle would horrify a lot of people here. T-bone last night. But had a salad with lots of dressing. I'm sure it will catch up with me. Might as well enjoy myself.

That last sentence is accomplished by participating in exchanges with j-o-h-n and I on this site.

I love exchanges. I've sent each of you a pregnant cat. I call them Covid Cats because no one seems to want snotty nosed cats for some reason.

Thank you on behalf of my mother in law.

For men getting them for late-stage mCRPC.

I don't think it's at all misleading. It does require careful reading, though. Remember, these are written for other doctors, not for patients.

It prolongs survival by about 4 months:

Here is information for patients considering APCEDEN immunotherapy treatments in India (including for non Indian patients traveling there for treatment). You must have a biopsiable met for antigen it appears. Not sure what the cost Might be for non Indians. APAC Biotech appears to have this dialed. apacbiotech.com/faq
