Did my Provenge treatment in March. Chills lasted only two days; nausea lasted two weeks.

No nausea just chills and flu symptoms really bad

Sounds wonderful ! Glad that’s over for now ..

I don't remember any chills. My Provenge treatment was 4 years ago. So far so good.

Haven't felt this sick for years. The good news is it doesn't last and it's my last treatment.

Another 36 months tacked on sounds pretty darn good. Hope your doc is right. As you say, never give up, never surrender.

Ok Leo,

With all your medals..... I'll give you one more for ending the Provenge treatments.

Why do you think there's a reVENGE in it .... Anyway just "chill" out for now....

Never give in... never surrender.... (just lie there and play dead),

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

I laugh for the sake of laughter ! 😂

I laugh even when I’m sitting in a corner counting my fingers and the spots on the wall. I just blame it on Lupron. No biggie yayahahaha John made me do it anyway !

in reply toKaliber

Wtf? You can still count ? Lucky .

Kaliber profile image
Kaliber in reply to

Why sure I can still count, 1 2 3 .... uh .... 5 ... 9 ....4 ... uh .... probably not doing it right but counting . Count Chocula . I can count on not hardly being able to get up and walk to the toilet too. Weak and gasping for air just doing that.

Think I’m starting to lose my sense of humor now tho .... this crap is getting REAL old and seemingly dragging me down more and more as the weeks pass. Yes this lupron -xtandi is keeping me alive ... but my QOL sucks dramatically. Kripes.

In the casino at Reno , I could sit in the chairs at the card tables OK, but it was a major problem trying to get to a restroom and back. Really ugly. It was a long ways and I don’t have enough gas in the tank to get there and back ... hardly enough to just get there. Not much fun when problems like that are happening. Whatever I guess.

Leo good job getting thru the cold front . Let that Provence do what it’s supposed to do . I like your doctors optimism . But you will do better than the stats . Take care 😎 brother

Roger that Lulu , thanks for the encouraging words big guy. You’re right and I have responsibilities to my wife as well. I just have to suck it up and keep on going . Pretty much these are the best times I have to look foreword to, and frankly really lucky to have these. It’s mind boggling to think of all you you guys that have years of this under your belt, heck I’m just a rank amateur with my piddling 7 months worth. It’s a hard adjustment to get used to tho, Yuck ...

Maybe I need a couple cold ones and try to chill out Yayahahaha. C-ya.
