Despite the topic, what I am asking is not for the purpose of making people grin but because I truly want to understand the impact on PSA a little better. I hope that other people who might have been curious but didn't dare to ask will find this post useful. I also hope that someone knows the answers and I've not found any pertinent info anywhere despite having done a lot of prostate cancer research in the past year.
We've all been told not to masturbate for at least 72 hours before a PSA test with the explanation being that doing so will increase the PSA level.
Masturbating increases the PSA but by how much? 3 points? 20 points?
Just wondering what's the situation for someone who would masturbate very regularly, like daily to make the example easier to follow.
Does that mean that the PSA level is high all the time? Is the increase cumulative day after day? For example, does it increase the PSA by 5 points on the first day and if masturbating again the next day it goes up by another 5 points for a total of 10 points more that it would have been without this activity?
Is the 72 hours long enough to get rid of the bump caused by a single masturbation session 3 days earlier but not long enough to get rid of the bump that would get caused by chronic masturbation
And is this elevated PSA dangerous even though it is being increased by an activity and not by cancer?

The PSA bounce is negligible for someone with a PSA of 32 due to metastatic prostate cancer. It may only increase your PSA by a couple of points at most.
Thanks and I don't think it would increase the PSA by a lot but then again, my question was not really about how a one-time event would impact the PSA as much as to whether repeated events would show a cumulative increase and whether the cumulative increase too would only last a maximum of 72 hours even if you had performed the deed everyday for the whole week that preceded the 72 hours.
It isn't cumulative. Every time you have an orgasm, your prostate has contractions that squeeze some of its PSA out into the serum. The PSA is cleared out within a couple of days. It doesn't accumulate.
I wondered about this in the context of my retro ejaculation. Due the a valve problem my sperm is diverted to my bladder and is urinated out later. Initially I hoped that might be the reason for the relatively high PSA. There was no way to know and insurance denied me the Axumin scan even though every Dr I saw really wanted me to get one. CT scan and bone scans did nothing to explain the high PSA. I eventually decided it may be similar to a vasectomy and I understand there is not correlation between vasectomies and PCa.

You can Google the research papers. In one study of 96 men, PSA changed over the course of one hour after ejaculated then tapered down to a small bump at 72 hours.
LOL. I am 65 and have had annual PSA test done for 10 years. I knew I needed to fast the night before for glucose testing but was never told to not ejaculate for 72 hours before PSA test.
Watch the movie "Who framed Roger Rabbit" and the scene where they are seaching for Roger Rabbit who is hiding... and they knock on a wall "knock and a knock knock"..... Well at that point I'm Roger Rabbit too..... If you don't get my point, either watch the movie or just forget it.......

Hey Lulu700. My libido is also at zero since I began ADT. I have noticed that you've often mentioned that you want to "spare" your wife from your body and that makes me sad for you my friend. Life is short, even likely to be shorter for many of us, and you shouldn't spend it being ashamed of your physical looks.
If someone is telling you otherwise, remove that negative person from your environment. If you are that someone, then I suggest that you learn to appreciate who and what you are because you, from reading many of your posts, I can say that you are a beautiful person indeed. Cheers!
