I'm doing alternate day fasting to get my 6-pack back. After 2 months, I'm at a 4-pack. I can probably drop another 10 pounds in a month. I find it easier to not eat at all (well, 400 calories) than to cut back here and there. And on the "on" days, I eat all I want, so I never feel like I'm depriving myself. I'm trying to keep protein up and weight training going so I don't lose muscle.

Older bike is my 1983 Paramount Road Racer with newer a 2013 Giant Propel Advanced SL wife got me for my 2013 Ironman Florida. Since PCa dx in 2015 and everything happening she got me a 2018 Specialized Roubaix Expert = more comfortable but not as fast Paramount or Roubaix.

Full Ironman 140.6 miles, 2.4 mile swim Gulf of Mexico, 112 mile bicycle then 26.2 mile marathon for me walking since knees bone on bone. Age 63 finish time 13 hours, 31 minutes, 48 seconds. It was a long day of activity.
2014 Ironman was shortened due to wind, waves, current so no swim and was able to ride the 112 miles non-stop.

I have no problem hitting 18-19 mph , for three unbroken hours at a time and never break a sweat. I frequently do, and the weather here allows it. I generally travel 14 -18 miles there and back............ on my EW-38 e-trike. Yayahahahaya yayahahahaya.

The ew-38 is basically a electric moped that is modified several ways to do other things. It has a medium range that allows accompanying someone jogging or walking and a lower selection that mimics a mobility cart. I can zoom up to the corner at 18 mph in the bike lanes , down the shopping center sidewalks ( avoiding old ladies on walkers a plus ) at 5 mph and turn into a super market or pharmacy and cruise the isles at .5 mph for shopping. I get “ looks “ , the ew-38 is pretty big and looks kinda like a motorcycle , but they never say anything.

Well ...... there are a few super serious posters here and some freaknoids too. I can understand the stage 4 guy that has miraculously stayed around for years, his cancer in remission. Especially those few with deep PCa knowledge they like to impart as well. I get that. they also need to mellow out a little and understand the concept of acceptance. Lots ( most ? ) of here are just bits away from the end .. if you aren’t there , you probably don’t fully know what that’s like.
All of us are brothers here on differing planes of life and death. We all have to accept the other one , we are all in this together.
Not saying this happens much , but it should. And the “ freaknoids “ ... they are everywhere in life .. hopefully we can avoid them if possible.

Pea protein is fine. There are even pumpkin and watermelon seed high quality proteins. Pumpkin seed is said to be good for us . I did a “ fast & live” routine during 8 weeks of imrt. It was 2 -500 calorie days of treatment per week. I believe that it worked. I went from 233 down to 165 and gaunt. I’m 6ft 3. The already weakened cells were more easily knocked off by Rt. So 2-500 calorie days per week with lots of water can do wonders. Start with one day . Fasting is widespread amongst the natural health groups.. To lose weight you must cut out all bad carbs. You can do it . I’m back to 190 now. A good weight for me. Good luck!🍀

That’s a new twist on diet . I’m not losing weight now . I lost muscle my first two years . Also my bone density diminished . Good luck

Fasting 2 days per week during imrt .. Dropped all sugar ,processed foods,animal proteins and dairy .. All veggies ... During that time i was nauseous and had no appetite . At 165 I looked like death on a stick . But also my problem was the tubes in my back and a foley then stents ... This entailed a year and a half of solid antibiotics for constant uti’s .. I quickly lost muscle first then bone due to double adt while being told not to lift more than 10 lbs .. we fight for our lives . Keep pushin . 🏋🏽♂️🎄
