Has anyone heard from whatsinaname (Carlos) ??

He was quite an active member but hasn’t posted or responded for quite some time.

Edit: He was one of the first few people I got in touch with on this forum and has always been in touch and ready to help. I’m sure a lot of us liked him a lot.

11 months ago he did say that he thought the end was nearing for him since he had been through everything and had no treatment options left.

Yes he was someone who just accepted the reality as it is. No sugar coated words or hope. Last we spoke he told me he wasn't doing great. 😔

I use to communicate with him through e-mail. But after March I couldn't hear anything from him. He had tried all options of treatment available. But nothing worked for him.

Sorry to hear that, dress2544. Whatsin is one of my favorite posters. Yes, he was increasingly frustrated...I hope it didn't get the better of a brilliant mind. Heck, I hope it doesn't get the better of me....🤔

Yes he last told me he wasn’t doing great and doesn’t hope for anything more. So I’m really disappointed seeing him disappear on the forum. It just is sad 😔

In December last year he wrote to me that his time in this planet is limited when all the treatments failed. Once he wrote if he is not posting in our group continuously for more than on month, to assume that he is no more in this planet. I am afraid and sad that something worst has happened to him.

I sent him a "chat" six months ago, since he hadn't been on the site for a while. He never answered. I liked him a whole lot. When I found out he didn't like j-o-h-n's jokes, I liked him even better. I'm trying to find a little humor here; but he just fell off the grid. No closure. I just hate that.

Last we spoke he told me he wasn’t doing well and did not hope for anything anymore. I was rooting for him though. Yes it’s sucks no closure. And he isn’t the kind to not be active on this forum if he had the chance to. So yes it’s saddening 😔

As most of you know by now, I have been through Casodex, Eligard, Abiraterone, Docetaxel, Lu-177 and radiation therapy thus far.

My remaining options are Cabazitaxel and Enzalutamide.

Any idea which should I take first and why ??

Yes he did not post much after this cause the treatments never really worked for him. He did plan to go to South Africa or Germany if possible as a last resort. Last we spoke around Jan this year and he wasn’t doing great and did not hope for more.
