CAR-T trial

My oncologist and I have been working with Dr Dorff at the City of Hope in Duarte, CA to see if I would be a suitable candidate for their CAR-T trial.

Each week since July 2020 I’ve been feeling more and more unwell with weakness, nausea, and headaches.

I spoke with the research coordinator today and I am a candidate but to my surprise I can’t actually get the treatment until March 2021.

Not sure if I can stick it out till then...

Have you discussed the BiTE trial with her? Perhaps the waiting list is shorter.

Yes I have but it’s every 2 weeks and I live in Phoenix so I was a bit hesitant to pursue it.

My husband is also hoping to begin this trial at Washington University They are hoping to begin in 2 weeks and actively looking for patients at Washington University. Right now they have Joe and possibly one other patient so they are not expecting any delays. Maybe check them out? If you are interested message me and I’d be more than happy to pass along the contact information I have for our oncologist there, Dr. Russell Pachynski. We are in Dallas but spent almost a year regularly traveling to St Louis for treatment and then a trial so I empathize with the difficulties it brings. It can be very stressful. Happy to help if I can and wishing the best for your family. Please keep us updated on your trial experience. Best wishes, Katy

I don't know if you're married, but if you are.... you stuck that out.... So come on 4 1/2 months... you can do that standing on your head....
