High PSA with Mets in Check

I’ve been on a clinical trial of a combo of Cabozantinib and Atezolizumab for three months now. It’s a combination of pill and infusion. My Mets that involve my lungs, liver and lymph nodes are staying in check. But my PSA climbs 20 spots every three weeks of my treatment. My Oncologist said this treatment doesn’t work on PSA. But as long as my Mets are stabilized that’s what matters. Anyone else with high PSA and low Mets? PSA currently at 87.

If it kicking the pc ,that’s good? That crazy Psa must be worrisome ? I’m waiting for those in the know to chime in .. on your question? How do you feel as far as side effects from your treatments?

Hey Scott. The side affects are a bitch. Mostly gastrointestinal and fatigue. But i didn’t lose my hair but it turned it entirely gray. I chose this instead of another go with chemo. I did 6 infusions of docetaxel two years ago and I swore I wouldn’t go thru any other chemotherapy again. Been battling this for 3 and a half years and will continue on. Hope you’re doing well. Not yet. Sticking with this clinical trial for now. Had my 4th infusion yesterday. Having scans done on December 5th. I have lesions on my liver, lung, and lymph nodes. They are getting smaller as my psa rises. Bad side effect is gastrointestinal . Mostly diarrhea loss of appetite.

Can I ask what your current PSA reading is?

Hi, my father is on the same regiment Cabozantinib plus Keytruda, he has liver mets, his PSA has decreased in the past 3 weeks from 80 to 30. The treatment has been tough on his body.
