Apotek has a program for those with private insurance, The copay is only $5.

My 120 x 250 mg Abiraterone container label says Mfg: Patriot Ph. Under Medicare Part D, after advancing to catastrophic phase, my copay recently changed to $51 from $92. Was ~$690 when only brand Ztyiga was available.

A search indicates that at least a dozen companies manufacture generic Abiraterone 250 mg. Some of these may simply be different sellers of the same manufactured Abiraterone?

Question: Does anyone receive generic 1000 mg Abiraterone? My brand Zytiga was 1000 mg. If generic Abiraterone is all 250 mg, why is that?

IMO, the pharmaceutical business is subtle if not confusing.

I saw something similar. I started off with 500's but when I was switched to generics I was told "they" only make 250's...

Correction: My brand (not generic) Zytiga was 500 mg, 2 x per day, not a single 1000 mg pill. I don't think generic Abiraterone or brand Zytiga is or ever was available in 1000 mg pills?

Do you receive this through a US pharmacy in your area? In What state do you reside?

Illinois

Celltrion's headquarters is in South Korea. We will have to look into this. Thanks for the information.

I have Plan Sponsored health insurance through my employer. At first was getting Zytiga, 250 Mg tablets, with no copay. Now getting generic Abiraterone Acetate from Mylan, with $20.00 copay through Accredo Specialty Pharmacy.

I've never received Zytiga 1000 Mg tablets.
